What's the difference between the Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) and ACF Community Geelong?
We are an independently organised group backed by the Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF). If you are already an ACF member, you can also get our emails by joining our email list by clicking the button on this page.
Are donations and memberships tax deductible?
No, we are a not-for-profit, not a charity and thus payments to us are not tax-deductible.
What do you use membership money for?
We get limited support from the main ACF body, we use any funds that you provide to us to undertake the campaigns and events that we run. Such expenses include printing, venue hire, digital promotions and research.
We are a not-for-profit association, so we are mandated to use any money to further the goals of the organisation. In the event that we need to close the association no funds can be distributed to members.
